Summary: like how a radio receiver can pick up a signal from a transmitter if it's tuned to the right frequency, two minds can sync in frequency as well.
“if I can show that we possess the electrical capabilities, the physical qualities, and biochemical soup to replicate wireless communication, would you be surprised if telepathy is real?”
– John Chavez
While we don’t exactly know how, for example, hypnosis works, it is comprehensible how a verbal or visual suggestion triggers the body and perhaps also the brain into a different state, like tensed or relaxed. Similarly, it is not too hard to imagine how certain breathing patterns alter your oxygen level and thus how you feel. But what to make of cases where there is no detectable stimulus, yet there is an effect as if there was one?
Moving on from cases of humans affecting objects from a distance (telekinesis), we’ll now explore the possibility of humans communicating with other humans (and also other species and, in some outlier cases, allegedly with spirits or aliens) and also explore possible explanations for the same – anything that does not comprise exchanging information through our five basic senses of sight, touch, smell, sound, and taste.
Such communication happens with information that is received by both the body and the brain. The latter – our scope for this chapter – is known as telepathy. From DMTQuest:
Telepathy is officially described as “the supposed communication of thoughts or ideas by means other than the known senses.” The “official stance of science” is that humans are incapable of performing “telepathy” (it’s interesting to note though that up until 2014, “official science” had not yet observed that humans were capable of showcasing voluntary control over their autonomic nervous system and the innate immune system.).
[Yet, a] 2008 study in the International Journal of Yoga outlined the brain imaging of a man named Gerard Senehi during “Telepathic” transfer between himself and another subject. The results was as follows: “The mentalist demonstrated significant activation of the right parahippocampal gyrus after successful performance of a telepathic task. The comparison subject, who did not show any telepathic ability, demonstrated significant activation of the left inferior frontal gyrus.”Another study in 2012 in the International Journal of Yoga would verify whether a different person, a man named Sean Harribance would showcase the same neural correlates with “psychic” ability compared to the 2008 study. The results were as follows: “The raw data from the unique electroencephalographic pattern displayed by Sean Harribance during his intuitive state revealed a peak increase of power within the upper beta range (20-30 Hz) within the right parahippocampal region only. The congruence of the region of activation during “telepathy” by Sean Harribance and Gerard Senehi, especially when the specific electromagnetic and cellular characteristics are considered, suggests the parahippocampal region may be a focus for exploration of the mechanisms by which these phenomena might occur.”
The right parahippocampal gyrus area was activated during successful “telepathy” in Mr. Senehi as well as “psychic mediumship” in Mr. Harribance.
In 1973, Dr. Stanley Krippner would publish the results of his famous “Dream telepathy with the Grateful Dead” experiment in the Journal of the American Society of Psychosomatic Dentistry and Medicine. It was a small experiment that would involve only two “receiver” participants who would sleep and were then “sent” images from 2000 attendees at a Grateful Dead concert 45 miles away. The results were statistically significant for one of the receivers.
From Brian Inglis:
Telepathy, Warcollier claimed, represented transference of subconscious thought and feeling. Conscious thought only got in the way – which was why, in his view, [previous] tests had produced such largely negative results; the subjects had not been in suitably relaxed states of mind. Some degree of rapport between transmitter and receiver, Warcollier believed, was also desirable, though not essential; and boredom should be avoided.
In 1920 Warcollier had organised small groups to test his theories. At set times one group would seek to transmit a word, or a drawing, while the others would see if they could pick up the “transmission”. In this way he was able to test whether groups were more likely to be successful than individuals, and also whether distance made any difference to the results. Groups did work slightly better; and disconcertingly – in view of the determination of orthodox scientists to sustain the inverse square law – distance seemed rather to improve the results.
From Colin Wilson:
The matter of ‘telepathic commands’ has been studied extensively in the laboratory. In the 1890s, Dr P. Joire conducted experiments at the University of Lille in which blindfolded subjects were telepathically ordered to perform certain simple actions—bend their arms and legs or walk in a certain direction.
The results were positive. Joire discovered that the experimenter had to concentrate very hard throughout the tests. It usually took between ten and twenty seconds for the subject to start to obey the suggestion, then he did so very slowly—which suggests that the ‘force’ being applied was very weak.
In 1926, the Russian scientist L. L. Vasiliev repeated these experiments in Leningrad with a woman suffering from hysterical paralysis of the left side. She was placed under hypnosis and mentally “ordered” by Vasiliev and two colleagues—to make various movements, including moving her “paralysed” arm. She not only made the movements but was usually able to identify the “sender” of the order.
Possible explanation: Biophotonic entanglement
In an article published in The Statesman, the author Dr. K.K. Paul writes, “Since every external stimulus to our brain can ultimately be reduced to an interaction of photons with biophotons, it would be a pathbreaking step to study the entanglement of photons in the biochemical space of the human brain.” He adds, “With the scientific evidence now available to prove photonic entanglement as an existing reality, even at very large distances, it may be possible to extend the theory of entangled photons to biophotons which would ultimately unveil the scientific basis of telepathy.”
Paul is basically extrapolating a new discovery about the behavior of photons, electromagnetic particles without a mass or a charge which moves at the speed of light. Zeilinger, Clauser, and Aspect received the 2022 Nobel Prize for showing that photons can get entangled with each other, which then means that what happens to one particle also happens to the other, immediately and irrespective of the distance between the two. Paul explains:
The phenomenon of subatomic particles communicating with each other had been studied for quite some time, but no confirmation was available. It was Alain Aspect, who in the 1980s, was able to scientifically show that two distinct photons under certain conditions could behave as if they were one single entity. Experiments to confirm these startling results have continued since then which now stand scientifically proven. Separately, as reported in Physical Reviews, an experiment was conducted by the Austrian physicist, Zellinger in 2015.
For this, he chose the second basement of the Imperial Castle of Vienna to ensure stability and the absence of any extraneous vibrations. The distance between the two sites of photon generation was initially 60m; in a parallel experiment, observations were taken from a distance of 185m and found to be substantiating the theory of entanglement and simultaneous transfer of information. While there is no teleportation but the exchange of information was much in evidence. At one time this had also been visualized by Einstein, who had named it as the “spooky action at a distance”.
Paul argues that since photons and biophotons are considered much alike, there is a scientific basis for studying telepathy. By focusing on discovering ways to entangle your biophotons with mine, we might be able to exchange information instantly from any distance.
Possible explanation: Electromagnetic field theory
Instead of focusing on the subatomic level of photons, John Chavez proposes looking at the level of electric current – at the molecular manifestation of what happens in an electric field. In attempting to offer a potential explanation for sublime transference, Chavez juxtaposes the electromagnetic properties of the brain with those functioning in wireless charging mechanisms and devices. He calls attention to the fact that just as “wireless charging utilizes oscillating/alternating electric currents to generate a magnetic field,” similar oscillations in the brain could lead to pH-level changes, which can be brought about through certain breathing and visualization practices. Distinct from Paul’s theory, Chavez proposes that the wireless charging analogy makes use of an electric field rather than biophotonic entanglement:
Being that throughout history, the natural world has been “explained” utilizing the technology of the day, we believe there is a potential “overlay” of brain-to-brain communication by utilizing the wireless charging model presented by WiTricity. The company describes supplying a “rapidly oscillating electric current” of a specific frequency to a copper coil. This then creates a magnetic field surrounding the coil and if a second coil is tuned into the same frequency, it will couple (synchronize), resonating with the first coil as long as it stays within the region of the magnetic field.

The following description was provided in regards to the mechanisms: “A rapidly oscillating electric current is applied to a coil at a specific resonant frequency. This creates a magnetic field in the region around the coil. Tune a second coil to the same resonant frequency as the source and it will couple resonating anywhere within that region and converting the oscillating magnetic field into an electrical current within the second coil. This response is called highly coupled magnetic resonance.”These are the mechanisms that appear to potentially overlap with successful transference of images/information via telepathy. [There is the case, for example] of James Oroc, [who] witnessed an overlap in perception of a 5-MEO-DMT experience and a sober witness. To summarize the piece, Oroc would ingest 5-MEO and subsequently see a deceased friend during the “breakthrough”. During this process, a sober friend sat across from him and witnessed an apparition of a person appear that virtually replicated what Oroc had seen (a form of telepathy).
While extra-sensory perception (ESP), like telepathic exchange, is fascinating by itself, there are several fields that are supposed to rely on this kind of exchange. And these are not limited to exchanges between humans.
Mediumship
While a lot of mediumship has been chalked down to cold reading or biases, there have been interesting cases that remain unexplainable within the framework of materialist science. Interestingly, in many countries, police forces have made use of mediums to solve difficult cases – using taxpayer's money – despite the controversy over the validity of such practices. It just doesn’t always work, perhaps like how professional athletes don’t always hit their target. Or maybe mediums just make lucky guesses? Regardless, something does seem to be happening on a brain wave level.
Again from DMTQuest:
A 2013 study in the journal Frontiers in Psychology would showcase the brain activity of 6 participants (in a double-blind study) claiming to be able to communicate with the deceased. The results were as follows: “The correlation between accuracy and brain activity during the 20 seconds of silent mediumship communication was significant in frontal theta for one participant. Statistically significant differences at p < 0.01 after correction for multiple comparisons in electrocortical activity among the four conditions were obtained in all six participants, primarily in the gamma band (which might be due to muscular activity). These differences suggest that the impression of communicating with the deceased may be a distinct mental state distinct from ordinary thinking or imagination.”“To conclude, we believe the results for Medium 1, correlating accuracy with electrocortical activity, qualify as a robust finding. The results regarding differences in gamma power bands between different mental states remains puzzling as the gamma difference we observed seems to arise, at least in part, from eye or muscular activity. The characterization of the exact nature of this difference in the gamma frequency band, and assessing whether any of this activity originates from the brain, calls for additional research. Taken together, the study’s findings suggest that the experience of communicating with the deceased may be a distinct mental state that is not consistent with brain activity during ordinary thinking or imagination.”
Channeling
Some people claim to have mastered the ability to access a state where they suddenly become able to give speeches and answer questions without having to think and with a speed and accuracy they are usually not capable of. This ability is called “channeling” because the person in such cases is considered to temporarily become a channel of communication for beings at a higher state of consciousness. They function like a sort of radio, which receives waves from the ether and transforms it into the music sent out by radio stations. Others explain the phenomenon as merely accessing a part of one’s own subconscious. Regardless of who is right, it is a fascinating feat, but in the context of this chapter, it is an example of how information might be transferred through sublime messaging techniques.
From DMTQuest:
it appears as though a “channeler” will have their mental consciousness taken over by the “entity” being “channeled”. It all seems rather far-fetched but at the same time… if we can take in the entire body of presented studies including the potentiality for telepathic communication and its subsequent mechanisms, perhaps it isn’t so far-fetched. A 2014 study published in the journal Neuron would showcase that brain circuits can tune into the frequency of other brain parts via a “tuning knob”. What’s to say that a person’s brain is incapable of tuning into frequencies which transmit information originating outside of their brains?
If we are to be open to the possibility that the brain operates as an antenna that receives information rather than generating information, then the concept of “Channeling” might not seem so strange.
It’s interesting to note that one of the more well known channelers named “Bashar” (Real name Daryl Anka) claims to have been EEG tested and subsequently showcased Gamma wave formation throughout his session. If anything, it would appear that much like Edgar Cayce, “channelers” are able to maintain a sustained level of hypnagogia utilizing phase coupling of slower waves to generate faster waves. This would appear rather similar to some of the observations regarding a 2002 study in the journal Perceptual and Motor Skills featuring the “Remote Viewing” capabilities by Ingo Swann. Whether these methods of generating information can ever be scientifically “proven” is a different discussion altogether.
How you could test this
Based on the numerous narratives, theories, and scientific evidence above, a pattern seems to emerge giving rise to a potential formula for creating the conditions suitable for energetic transference:
Slow waves (alpha/theta band) + high pH + coupled fast-wave bursts (gamma band) => High telepathic potential
Let's zoom into the roles of these individual components.
Slow brain waves: seem to be required to create the connection or resonance between two people.
High pH: seems to make the brain more sensitive (for sending/receiving subtle information) + increased bioelectrical conductivity
Gamma bursts: seem to carry the message over the established connection between people.
If you are interested in testing out the above formula for yourself, then you can take some practical steps in this direction.
1. To induce slow brain waves:
Engage in meditation, hypnosis, rhythmic breathing, visualization or chemicals/psychedelics.
2. To increase pH level:
The depth of breath and respiration rate affect CO2 levels in the body; through engaging in meditation practices involving fast, deep breaths, you could lower your CO2 levels and simultaneously increase your body's pH value (alkalosis).
At sunrise and sunset, when possible, allow your retinas to capture direct sunlight to increase melatonin levels in your brain. Higher melatonin levels push the pH value threshold up, allowing for better conditions for supernormal abilities. Third-eye meditation has been shown to increase the melatonin level.
Making certain lifestyle changes to lower intake of stress, light, food, electronics, and mind stimulus can also boost melatonin levels and lower CO2 levels.
3. To increase the possibility of gamma bursts:
Meditate for a few weeks to increase the size of your corpus callosum, the part of your brain that connects the left and right hemispheres.
Practice improving your skills of vivid visualization and passive focus.
Choose and apply practices to improve your heart–brain coherence, for this has been shown to amplify emanation of electromagnetic message from the brain.[6]
Let’s translate this into a practical training protocol provided by John Chavez on DMT Quest:
The one thing that you must be capable of prior to engaging in this practice is the ability to influence your autonomic nervous system consciously to warm or heat up your left or right hand via intent/visualization (it could also be your right or left foot). You can utilize whatever technique you feel most comfortable to induce the altered state including WHM, hypnosis/self-hypnosis, meditation, or something else altogether. Many people describe “tingling” or “electrical sensations” running down their arm as their hand begins to heat up via the visualization. After a short period of time (3-5 minutes), it’s been described that the hand feels distinctly warm compared to the opposite hand that did not receive the visualization. If you are so inclined, you can purchase an infrared thermometer to verify that the visualized hand is indeed measurably warmer compared to the non-visualized hand.(If you currently don’t practice any specific form of meditation/hypnosis, you can merely engage in rhythmic breathing cycles (80-90 breaths) followed by breath retention (1-2 minutes) for roughly 20 minutes. The reason for doing the sustained rhythmic breathing is in order to increase slow wave (Theta/Delta) amplitude. Once 20 minutes has passed… stop and resume a more normal breathing pattern while visualizing your body from a holographic/electrical perspective with your eyes closed (as provided down below). Once you feel as though you can vividly, visualize your body in this form… imagine sending an electric current from your brain down to your preferred hand. The more vivid you can visualize this taking place, the greater the measurable physical effect will be.)
Once you have developed the ability to warm an individual hand at will… I speculate that you now have developed the mind control, visualization ability, autonomic nervous system influence, and the necessary neural pathway to engage in successful telepathic transference.
However, let us be as methodical as possible in order to get comfortable with the process and concept. Since telepathy takes place with 2 people, you will need a willing partner to participate in this.
Step 1. Have your partner take a seat in a chair and have them close their eyes. You can stand directly in front of them. Take the index finger and middle finger of the hand you choose to warm and place it gently on the forehead of your partner. Next, visualize your entire hand getting warmer utilizing your preferred technique.
Step 2. Once your hand begins to generate the sensation of warmth, continue sending that signal until your partner signals to you that they can feel the heat sensation on their forehead by raising their right hand. Some people will not only feel warmth on their forehead from this but they’ll also feel pressure and/or sensations that mimic rapid eye movement (REM)/eye fluttering.
Step 3. Next, take a 5 minute break. Once the break is over proceed to do the same exact technique except instead of placing your two fingers physically on your partner’s forehead, place your fingers 3 inches in front of their forehead. Once you’ve visualized the signal to warm your hand, extend the warmth/signal to continue past your two fingers and onto the forehead of your partner. You can imagine the electric current generating some sort of field that extends past your entire hand.
Step 4. Once again… have your partner raise their right hand to indicate when they feel sensations similar to what they felt when you had your fingers physically touching their forehead (warmth, pressure/tingling, eye fluttering).
Step 5. Next, take another 5 minute break. Once the break is over do the same exact technique you practiced just prior but instead place your fingers 12 inches away from your partners forehead and visualize your electric field stretching past your fingertips and into their forehead.
Step 6. Continue doing these types of exercises until you can reliably create the sensation of warmth, pressure, and/or REM/eye flutter for your partner at a distance of 5 to 6 feet.
You are now ready to experience the actual transference of an image/thought to the recipient. You will need a pen and paper for this exercise.
Step 7. Take a piece of paper and write down 5 categories. Example: fruit type, car brand, number between 1 and 20, animal species, and type of food. Hand this piece of paper to the recipient.
Step 8. Duplicate the 5 categories that you gave them and write down specific examples within each of these categories. Example: fruit – green apple, car brand – toyota, number 11, animal species – giraffe, and food type – pizza. Do not allow the receiver to see this.
Step 9. Have the receiver sit down in a chair, close their eyes, and take 3 or 4 deep breaths in and out to relax themselves. Either sit or stand across from them approximately 5-6 feet away. As in steps (1-6), outstretch your arm and point your index and middle finger at the forehead of the receiver. Visualize the warmth signal extending to your hand and past your hand until the receiver signals that they have felt physical sensations in their forehead region.

Step 10. Now that you feel confident in your ability to send a “signal” and your receiver has confidence in being able to discern physical sensations coinciding with receiving of that “signal”, you can begin the transfer. Tell the receiver that you will be sending an image of a fruit. As the sender your job is to do 2 things… one is to send the signal from your hand to their forehead and to visualize an image of a green apple traveling from your brain, down to your hand and across the visualized electrical/energetic bridge to their forehead.
Step 11. The tricky part is being able to retain a deep level of what I label as “passive focus” or “relaxed focus”. Build the bridge, visualize the green apple as vivid as possible and send this same image about 30 times in about 30-40 seconds.
Step 12. After you have sent the image of this to the receiver about 30 times, have them write down whatever image came to their mind most consistently on the piece of paper you gave them.
Step 13. Continue this process until you have completed the exercise for all 5 categories. Do not check whether the results were accurate until you have completed this methodology for all 5 categories. I have consistently observed that when people check for accuracy for each category, they tend to get excited when it is verified correctly and this makes it more difficult to retain success when continuing the exercise. My hypothesis regarding this transpiration is that it shifts your frontal potential from positive to negative which subsequently effects your ability to maintain an oscillating current.
Step 14. After a few rounds of utilizing this type of technique to induce telepathic transfer, you can begin to discard the use of your hand. You can instead begin to visualize the electrical signal connecting directly from your head to the head of the recipient.

It could also be logically induced that it would be helpful for achieving positive results with less effort to limit your exposure to light, especially blue light from screens, which lowers your melatonin levels. It is also considered helpful to eat lightly, not use any substances that affect your consciousness for 48 hours prior to your experiment and to engage in limited analytical brain activity.
In order to increase your heart-brain coherence, Dr. Joe Dispenza suggests in his book “Becoming Supernatural: How Common People Are Doing the Uncommon” focusing your attention in meditations on your pineal gland:
Once the pineal gland is activated and it releases certain upgraded metabolites, the back (posterior) of the pituitary gland awakens, causing it to produce two important chemicals—oxytocin and vasopressin. The first chemical, oxytocin, is known to produce elevated emotions that cause your heart to swell with love and joy (it’s been referred to as the chemical of emotional connection or the bonding hormone).
Conclusion
Gathering first-hand evidence for the invisible transfer of information from one mind to another is far less difficult than doing the same for the other topics we have covered so far. For example, if you own a pet with a particular oversensitivity or neurosis, you could hire a dog or cat whisperer and witness what they do. In many cases, a skilled whisperer can bring about noticeable permanent changes in pet behavior.
Besides connecting with animals, you could also invest time and effort in possibly developing telepathic abilities. It doesn’t have to be flawless. Even if you can just beat the odds of guessing the right number, it would already suffice. Otherwise, like me, you could visit a skilled energy therapist, who would probably be able to – at the least – help you experience changes in how your body feels from the inside. You might feel temperature changes, tension release or a change in your state of consciousness while the therapist is just sitting at a distance from you, seemingly concentrated on something. Or nothing at all. The outcome could well be influenced by your expectation.
But besides empirical evidence is only, you could also study the literature and determine how compelling you find the possible explanations for telepathy, which are currently speculative. That is what this book is for. Like in all the previous articles, the intention has not been to make it appear as if there is no leap of faith, but rather to show you what the actual distance of the leap is, as we all seem to be predisposed to either underestimate or overestimate the size of the leap.
