Non-Duality as a Mindset
Non-duality can be challenging to understand but I noticed that the concept becomes more tangible when its expressed as a mindset – the way you perceive yourself and the world from a non-dual perspective. This can be likened to how actors sometimes prepare for a role by imaging how their character would view the world.
Imagine you could view the world like this and you get a good picture on how non-duality would affect your quality of life:
-
The universe feels helpful
-
Surrender feels safe; the funny feelings are also okay as it feels right to be having that experience
-
When surrendering: deep joy from being authentic in an akarmic way
-
No belief in the conceptual perception that often reappears
-
Not bothered by lies on any level, as the world feels like one big stage anyway; it feel normal and okay; as a reflection of the inner state of people
Now, if we can express non-duality through a set of principles that make up a mindset, it only seems logical to me that we can also approach it as a mindset. A mindset change takes about 21 days of focus and repetition.
