Non-Dual Mindset Bootcamps

In our experience, non-dual insight is obtained easiest with a short period of full immersion in understanding the concepts. Until it clicks. Then it's just a matter of getting used to the new mindset, which mainly requires repetition, exploring new angles to keep it interesting, reconsidering some of your beliefs (including possibly a reframe of the experiences that lead to your self image), make sure old patterns don't take over again, having not too many distractions and a good dose of patience. This also happens to be the simple formula of our bootcamp.

21-Day mindset change program

As you're defining your mental model, you'll notice how much impact your choice of worldview has on your approach to self-development, especially the non-dual worldview.

Non-duality can be a challenging concept to grasp. And once you understand it, it's almost equally challenging to define its validity. But, once you get to a point where you consider the philosophy valid and decide to commit yourself to having a direct experience, for most people the real challenge begins. Overwhelmed by the many paths and their stages, they continue to wander and circle while never obtaining a perception that matches their worldview.

We've spent a great deal of time on this particular subject and, through experimentation, concluded that the easiest way to grasp non-duality is to familiarize with the mindset – the perception – of someone who has non-dual awareness as their regular frame of mind and to imagine seeing the world like that way. It's like how an actor becoming the character he plays.

Non-duality is essentially a way of perceiving. It's seeing existence as an illusion but one in which each illusory person should surrender to their natural inclinations, face reality and love it for what it is. By capturing this in a series of mindset cues, discussing them, feeling their validity and then viewing the world through that frame of mind, the mindset – with enough repetition – will become habitual. This is how mindsets change. During the non-dual mindset bootcamp, we do just that. In a small group setting, which makes it more fun, more effective and more affordable.

The first week, we are completely immersed in the subject. But a mindset change of this magnitude requires a little more time and practice, which we understand is difficult for many people. Therefore, the second and third weeks of the 21-day program are only part-time. We meet in the mornings and evenings to rehearse, reflect, discuss and get you into a receptive state of mind, while during the day you can e.g. work remotely or meet with your family if they are vacationing nearby.

Of course, we would only spend a lot of time on developing this type of retreat if we felt it was very effective. However, as with any approach, we certainly don't believe that the mindset bootcamp is the best approach for every person at every stage and we wouldn't nudge anyone who's creating a mental model in any direction. It's up to each person what path they want to take and if that tends towards the mindset approach, then it's also up to us if we feel that would be a good fit as its not about having as many participants possible but rather about having nice retreats with exciting results.
